Illogical

Many thousands of glances everywhere
Don't produce any effect upon your luck,
However, it's enough a single stare
At someone, if your mind is by that struck.
Many thousands of reasons on all sides
Can't do what is accomplished by a stroke;
To all of them, as mockery, it derides-
They cannot artificially provoke.
But logic says its power should be less,
As fire can't keep on burning without wood.
So, after this reflection, I confess:
The subject was not thoroughly understood-
If what the eyes don't see, the heart can't feel,
Then why after so long I'm burning still?
